Forks of Huntington Campground sits at an elevation of 7,600 feet along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway in Huntington Canyon. Shaded by thick pine stands, the Left Fork of Huntington Creek runs directly through the site. The layout features gravel roads and spurs, two single-family sites, one group site for up to 40 people, and vault toilets; visitors must pack out all trash. The adjacent creek is a Blue Ribbon trout fishery. Trailheads in or near the campground lead to the 4-mile Left Fork National Recreation Trail and the 10-mile Fish Creek Trail for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
All 0.4 miles in are maintained for passenger cars. Gravel the whole way in (0.4 miles).
Wild Cattle Ridge stands 2,200 ft above the site, 1.5 miles east. Left Fork Huntington Creek runs 0.1 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.1 miles off, a 10-site campground. 4 sit on the water. The nearest town, Huntington, is 16 mi off.
