Setting
Hades Campground is located along the North Fork Duchesne River at an elevation of 7,400 feet on the southern slope of the Uinta Mountains. The terrain consists of a forest of aspen, subalpine fir, lodgepole pine, and spruce. Facilities feature single and double-family campsites along dirt roads and parking spurs, equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings, with some sites overlooking the river. Vault toilets and trash collection are on-site. The river offers fly-fishing for trout, while nearby trails, including the Grandview Trail, support hiking, mountain biking, OHV, and horseback riding.
Getting there: From Duchesne, Utah: Take Highway 27 north to the junction with Highway 35. Turn west on Highway 35 towards Tabiona. Travel about 28 miles to the campground in the North Fork Drainage. From Highway 40, turn north on Highway 208 to Tabiona, then proceed northwest through Hanna to the North Fork Drainage.
