Abilene State Park, located 16 miles southwest of Abilene on Elm Creek, offers wooded camping with 35 campsites across multiple loops sheltered by native trees. The park features a historic swimming pool built in the 1930s, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, and nature viewing opportunities in this creek-bottom setting with abundant wildlife.
