Falcon State Park sprawls across 576 acres along the 84,000-acre Falcon International Reservoir on the Rio Grande between Texas and Mexico near Roma. The park offers screened shelters and cabins for overnight stays. Anglers pursue largemouth bass and channel catfish, while birdwatchers spot southwestern and tropical species. The park features boat ramps, fish-cleaning station, 2.8 miles of hiking trails, and recreation hall. It opens daily 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and frequently reaches capacity during fall and winter seasons.
