A 1,525-acre state park along the Paluxy River preserving 113-million-year-old theropod and sauropod dinosaur footprints visible in limestone formations. The oak, elm, and sycamore woodlands frame the scenic river canyon where visitors camp, hike to fossil tracks, bike, fish, and paddle. Primitive camping includes walk-in sites with short hikes and backcountry sites accessed by longer trails with river crossings. White-tailed deer, coyotes, bobcats, and wild turkeys inhabit the park. Two large 1964 World's Fair dinosaur sculptures stand as iconic landmarks.
