Windmill Backcountry Area at Colorado Bend State Park is a primitive wilderness camping zone in the Texas Hill Country, 1 mile from the Windmill Trailhead and 5 miles from the Colorado River. Each site accommodates up to 4 people in designated tent areas across rugged karst terrain with rocky hills and sparse vegetation. No water or toilets are available. Visitors must use containerized fuel stoves for cooking, avoid open fires, and pack out all waste.
