Rayburn Park lies on the north shore of Sam Rayburn Reservoir within the piney woods of East Texas. The campground features 16 sites with water and 50-amp electric hookups, nine non-electric sites, and a single group site. On-site facilities include two boat ramps, a swimming beach, and a playground. Campers have direct access to the 114,000-acre lake for jet skiing, swimming, and bass fishing. The surrounding Angelina National Forest offers nearby access to public hunting lands and a 28-mile trail extending toward Toledo Bend Reservoir.
