Texas' largest state park stretches across rugged mountains and steep canyons at elevations between 2,350 and 5,000 feet in the Chihuahuan Desert along the Rio Grande. Drive-up and hike-in primitive campsites dot the landscape, with some access roads requiring high-clearance or four-wheel-drive vehicles. Facilities include visitor centers with ranger stations offering bathrooms and showers. The Rio Grande offers floating, fishing, and paddling. Explore 70 miles of dirt roads and 238 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, backpacking, and horseback riding.
