At the edge of ancient lava flows from the Bofecillos volcanoes (erupted 27 million years ago), Fresno Vista sits in upper Fresno Canyon where millions of years of geologic history and thousands of years of human occupation are visible. The campsite features a picnic table and fire ring in a small valley, with a level ridgeline to the north designated for tent camping. Excellent day-hiking access into surrounding canyon terrain and geologic formations.
