Lake Livingston State Park sits in East Texas's Pineywoods region, 635 acres along the southeastern edge of Lake Livingston—one of the state's largest reservoirs. The park features forested terrain with three boat ramps, fishing pier, swimming area, and campgrounds ranging from tent sites to full-hookup spots and screened shelters. Fish for white bass, crappie, catfish, and perch; hike, bike, or paddle. The landscape reflects deep history: the Trinity River valley supported hunter-gatherers for 12,000 years, later shifting from colonial cotton farms to timber production. TPWD opened the state park in 1977.
