Mustang Island State Park is a 3,954-acre barrier island south of Port Aransas on the Texas Gulf Coast in Nueces County. The park has 5 miles of sandy beach and includes Corpus Christi Bay with shallow-water fishing grounds on the western shore. Campsites range from 48 water-and-electric spots a third mile inland to 50 primitive beach sites. Full shower facilities with hot water, restrooms, and picnic shelters line the shores.
