Setting
Twin Bridges is a day-use park on the western, sandy shore of Waco Lake within the Waco city limits. The facility features two swimming beaches, a boat ramp and dock, horseshoe pits, a sand volleyball court, a covered playground, and group picnic shelters holding up to 225 guests. Submerged timber along the shoreline holds populations of catfish, crappie, sunfish, and bass for anglers. The 20-mile Lacy Point Hiking and Biking Trail is accessible nearby.
Getting there: From I-35, take exit 330B Hwy 6 N toward Meridian for about 6 miles. After passing over the lake on the Twin Bridges, take the first exit toward Lake Waco/Speegleville Park. Turn left on the access road and the park entrance will be on the right.
