Setting
Reynolds Creek sits on the shores of Waco Lake within the city limits of Waco. The park features 51 spacious campsites, including 10 equestrian sites with year-round access, alongside first-come, first-served day-use picnic areas, a boat ramp, and a dock. The 1.2-mile Tejas Nature Trail starts in the park and winds through ash and juniper woods, while the nearby 20-mile Lacy Point Trail supports biking and horseback riding. Submerged timber along the lake's shoreline holds catfish, crappie, and largemouth bass, and the Waco Lake Wetlands sit nearby.
Getting there: From I-35, take exit 330B Hwy 6 N toward Meridian for about 7 miles. After passing over the Lake on the Twin Bridges, take the Speegleville Road exit (second exit after the bridges). Turn right on Speegleville Road. After 1 mile you will reach a 4-way stop. Continue straight on Speegleville Road for about 2 miles and park entrance will be on the right.
