On-site amenities include a boat ramp and dock for fishing the lake's submerged timber, which holds bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish. Nearby options include the Waco Lake Wetlands for birding and Cameron Park Zoo, with Magnolia Market 10 miles away in downtown Waco.
