Primitive horse camping in Limpia Canyon at Davis Mountains State Park, six sites for up to 8 people each on a rugged road. Non-potable water available in horse troughs; camp stoves permitted, no ground fires. Shared parking only with no restrooms at site. Riders access 11 miles of trails through the Davis Mountains climbing from 4,900 to 5,700 feet elevation. Coggins documentation required for horses. Remote backcountry experience in high desert setting.
