Backcountry hike-in camping at Davis Mountains State Park requiring a minimum four-mile mountain hike with 800 feet elevation gain. Four sites accommodate up to four people each. No fires allowed; camp stoves required. No developed facilities at sites. Located in the remote Davis Mountains high desert at elevations above 5,700 feet with expansive views. Pets permitted. Access to 11 miles of park trails and the scenic Skyline Drive trail system built by the Civilian Conservation Corps.
