Boykin Springs Recreation Area is set in a pine and hardwood forest along Boykin Creek and the nine-acre Boykin Springs Lake in eastern Texas. The facility features a 17-site first-come, first-served campground accommodating tents and RVs up to 23 feet, alongside a reservable group picnic shelter for up to 74 people. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, and hot showers, though individual sites lack hookups. The group area provides direct access to the Sawmill Trail, leading to the historic Aldridge Sawmill Site near Sam Rayburn Reservoir.
