Five tent-only primitive campsites in subtropical Rio Grande Valley, each with picnic table and fire ring, requiring a 3/4-mile walk from parking. The 764-acre park features woodlands and brushlands hosting about 360 bird species, a two-story hawk observation tower, 7 miles of trails including an accessible Rio Grande Trail with views toward Mexico, and butterfly gardens. Restrooms with showers nearby.
