Caddo Lake State Park's 484-acre preserve sits on Big Cypress Bayou in East Texas's piney woods, where bald cypress trees draped in Spanish moss tower over cypress swamps. The adjacent 26,810-acre Caddo Lake supports over 70 fish species and abundant alligators. Visitors paddle Saw Mill Pond and the Hell's Half Acre Trail, hike the Caddo Forest Trail with historic CCC pavilion steps, or fish in pristine waters. The park offers tent sites and full-hookup camping, screened shelters, and historic cabins developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s.
