Juniper Point Campground lies on the Texas side of Lake Texoma, set in rolling hills covered in post and blackjack oaks. The facility offers 44 campsites with water and electric hookups alongside 25 basic sites without hookups. Amenities include flush and vault toilets, showers, drinking water, two dump stations, two boat ramps, and two docks. Visitors come to fish for striped bass, use the nearby sandy beaches, or hike the 14-mile Cross Timbers trail that winds along the rocky ledges above the lake.
Getting there: West Juniper 32843 Hwy 377, Gordonville, TX 76245 East Juniper 32744 Hwy 377, Gordonville, TX 76245 From Whitesboro, TX, travel 13 miles north on Highway 377. The campground is on both sides of the highway as the highway enters the Willis Bridge crossing into Oklahoma. The east side access is a contolled entrance park. The west side access is where the trailhead for the Cross Timbers hiking trail is located.
