Setting
Damsite Texas is a 19-site campground on the Texas bank of the Red River, positioned directly below the Denison Dam. The grounds are shaded by pecan trees and provide 30-amp electrical service along with water hookups at every site. On-site facilities include vault toilets and an RV dump station along the river. Outside the main entrance, a day-use pavilion and picnic tables sit along the water. Boaters have access to a spillway launch ramp at the dam to reach neighboring Lake Texoma, a large reservoir noted for striped bass and catfish fishing. Local stores and dining sit within five miles.
