Waxahachie Creek Park is situated on the upper arms of Bardwell Lake along Waxahachie Creek, less than an hour south of Dallas-Fort Worth. The site offers 65 campsites with water and 30-amp electric hookups, seven non-electric picnic sites, a day-use area, and a group pavilion holding 200 people. Amenities include two boat ramps—one lower ramp with a courtesy dock for larger vessels—and access to the 13-mile Bardwell Lake multi-use trail for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. A commercial lake marina offers enclosed fishing piers, and designated hunting zones sit nearby.
