Hickory Creek sits along the Hickory Creek Arm of Lewisville Lake, a 30,000-acre reservoir on the Elm Fork of the Trinity River in northern Texas, 35 miles outside downtown Dallas. The large campground offers 121 campsites with electric hookups. On-site amenities include hot showers, a dump station, and a boat ramp for lake access. The surrounding area features 50 miles of natural surface and paved trails for hiking and biking, with public golf courses and horseback riding opportunities located nearby around the lake.

Getting there: When traveling North on I-35E, take exit 458A toward Swisher Rd/FM-2181 onto S stemmons Fwy. Continue onto N Stemmons Fwy toward Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn right on to N Lake Dallas Dr towards Hundley Dr/Turbeville Rd. Turn sharp right onto W Hundley Dr towards Hickory Creek. Continue on Turbeville Rd, and turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right. When traveling South on I-35E, take exit 457 toward Lake Dallas Dr onto Stemmons Fwy. Then, take ramp towards Turbeville Rd/Hundley Dr/Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Turbeville Rd towards Hickory Creek. Turn left onto Point Vista Rd. After 0.5 miles, Hickory Creek Campground will be on the right.
