Cedar Hill State Park rises from rugged limestone hills as an urban oasis just 20 miles from Dallas, overlooking the 7,500-acre Joe Pool Lake. The park features 350 developed campsites with water and electricity; 150 include sewer hookups. Two lighted boat ramps, two fishing jetties, and a swimming beach provide water access for bass, crappie, and catfish fishing. The 1,200-acre DORBA Trail welcomes hikers and bikers across varied terrain. The Penn Farm Agricultural History Center preserves a working homestead spanning the mid-1800s to mid-1900s with self-guided and group tours.
