Multi-use campsites at Texas's first official state park, established in 1937 on the Leon River southwest of Waco. The park includes 20 full-hookup sites with water, sewer, and 50/30-amp electricity, plus 15 tent sites along the river (some currently closed due to flood damage). Amenities include showers, visitor center, and nearly 3.5 miles of trails ranging from easy to moderate, with historic features including a CCC-built rock tower and cave used by the Tonkawa tribe.
