Cranes Mill Park sits on a long peninsula along the southwestern shore of Canyon Lake, where the Guadalupe River feeds into the reservoir. The park includes 30 RV sites and 34 tent sites, with water and electrical hookups provided at most locations. Infrastructure includes restrooms with hot and cold showers, a dump station, a multi-lane boat ramp, and two dedicated fishing piers. The surrounding terrain consists of open Texas Hill Country acreage supporting local wildlife like white-tailed deer, foxes, and native birds.

The road in has not been measured -- unknown, not bad. Overhead clearance here is posted at 20 ft -- the tightest site sets the limit.

The Canyon Lake shoreline is 0.1 mi off. Exposed here -- the nearest through road is 0.7 miles off, a 64-site campground. Night skies measure Bortle 4 -- a rural sky with a glow on the horizon. 64 sit on the water. The nearest town, Canyon Lake, is 2.1 mi off.

September normals 6790°F, 3.8″ rain. Monthly averages, PRISM 1991–2020.
