Lakeland Pavilion is a day-use and large group site located within Lakeland Park on the eastern shore of Lavon Lake. Built to handle groups up to 500, the pavilion features 12 picnic tables, four cookers, a campfire ring, electric and water hookups, and an open grass area for field sports. The adjacent 21,400-acre reservoir feeds from the Trinity River and provides fishing access for largemouth bass, white bass, blue catfish, and crappie. The nearby Trinity Trail offers hiking and horseback riding, and the Heard Natural Science Museum is short drive away in McKinney.

Getting there: While traveling East on US Highway 380, turn right (South) on State Highway 78 at Farmersville. Go South about 4 miles to CR 550. Turn right on CR 550 and continue about 2 miles to the entrance of the park. The pavilion is inside Lakeland Park.
