Setting
East Fork Campground sits on the southern shore of Lavon Lake where the East Fork of the Trinity River flows through northern Texas. The layout features 50 campsites with water and 50-amp electric hookups, 12 tent-only sites, dedicated equestrian sites with portable horse stalls, and a group shelter for up to 175 people. Facilities include two boat ramps, a swimming beach, hot showers, and a dump station. Visitors have direct access to the adjacent Trinity Trail for horseback riding and hiking, as well as open-water access for boating and fishing on the 21,400-acre reservoir.
Getting there: From Lavon, TX, travel South on Highway 78, take a right onto County Road 384. Travel until you come to a stop sign, then turn left onto Skyview Dr. and travel West for approximately 1.6 miles. East Fork will be on your right.
