Setting
Flatrock Campground sits under live oak trees on the shores of Hords Creek Lake in central Texas, just north of the Hill Country. The layout features over 50 campsites with water and electric hookups, including ten sites with sewer connections, as well as seven day-use group shelters. Amenities include a fishing dock, gravel swimming beaches, and boat ramps, though ramp availability depends on lake levels. Visitors come to target largemouth bass, sunfish, and crappie, or travel eight miles east to the town of Coleman for area services.
Getting there: From Coleman, TX, take Highway 153 west for 8 miles to the main entrance of Hords Creek Lake. Follow signs into the campground.
