Lake Brownwood State Park encompasses 537 acres along Lake Brownwood, a Depression-era reservoir completed in 1932. The park features historic stone structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps between 1934 and 1942. Camping includes water-only tent sites, water and electricity sites, 20 full hookup sites, screened shelters, and cabin rentals. The scenic shoreline offers excellent fishing for largemouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill, with opportunities to observe white-tailed deer, raccoons, and over 30 bird species.
