Blanco State Park occupies a mile-long stretch of the spring-fed Blanco River in the Texas Hill Country at 1,350-foot elevation. The campground offers full-hookup sites, partial-hookup sites, and screened shelters overlooking the river. On-site amenities include a wading pool, fishing rod borrowing, a park store, Civilian Conservation Corps-built picnic pavilions with stone stairs to the river from the 1930s, and hiking trails. Swimming, fishing, and paddling are available year-round on the river.
