Setting
Nat Caldwell Park is a day-use area located right off US-31E in the headwaters of Station Camp Creek on Old Hickory Lake. The small park features open grassy space, a reservable group picnic shelter for up to 50 people, a grill, and shoreline access for bank fishing or hand-launching kayaks and canoes. Larger boats can launch across the highway at Station Camp Creek. The surrounding 22,500-acre Cumberland River reservoir offers 440 miles of wooded shoreline, with hiking and mountain biking trails located nearby at Lock 4 Park.
Getting there: From Nashville, take I-65 North to TN-386/Vietnam Veterans Blvd. Continue East on TN-386/Vietnam Veterans Boulevard to exit 9. Merge onto US-31E N/Johnny Cash Pkwy/E Main St. and continue approximately 2.5 miles. Nat Caldwell Park will be on your left just before crossing over Station Camp Creek.
