Setting
Cages Bend Campground sits along the wooded shoreline of Old Hickory Lake, a 22,500-acre Cumberland River reservoir northeast of Nashville. All campsites provide electric and water hookups, with four sites designed to accessibility standards. Facility amenities include shower buildings, laundry facilities, a playground, a group picnic shelter, and an RV dump station. Boaters and anglers have access to a public boat ramp along with two dedicated fishing docks—one located inside the camping loop and one adjacent to the launch ramp.
Getting there: From Nashville, TN, travel North on I-65 and take TN-386/Vietnam Veterans Blvd. Continue to exit 12, Big Station Camp Blvd. Turn right onto Big Station Camp Bldvd. Continue staight across Nashville Pike onto Cages Bend Road. Take Cages Bend Road to Benders Ferry Road. The recreation area will be ahead on the left.
