Setting
Dover is a day-use park set among wooded rolling hills overlooking Lake Barkley, the westernmost reservoir on the Cumberland River. Built for group gatherings, the site features a single covered picnic shelter that accommodates up to 35 people and 10 vehicles. Facilities include electric outlets, overhead lights, and a drinking water spigot. Visitors use the park as a base for boating, fishing, and picnicking, with frequent sightings of local wildlife like deer, raccoons, and golden eagles. Fort Donelson National Battlefield, a historic Civil War site, is located nearby.
Getting there: From Nashville, or St.Louis , take I-24 Clarksville, take Exit 8 for TN 237 W. 2.4 Mi., Right onto Warfield Blvd 1.6 Mi. continue onto 101st Airborne PKWY for 6.3 Mi. contine onto TN 347 -PKWY for 4.5 Mi. Turn right onto US 79 S. for 24.2 Mi. Turn right on W. Spring St. for 466 feet, Turn right at the 1st cross street onto Hood ST. for 500 feet. Turn right on to Forrest St 200 FT.
