Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Pavilion is a covered day-use site located at an elevation of 1,700 feet in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Built to hold up to 70 people, the pavilion includes multiple cooking grills. The surrounding park terrain features mountain streams stocked with trout and extensive hiking trails. Historic log homes, churches, and grist mills are preserved throughout the area. Gatlinburg is located approximately 11 miles from the pavilion.
Getting there: There is no street address for the picnic pavilion Pavilion is 15 miles west of Gatlinburg, TN on Little River Road. Take Newfound Gap Road (akaUS441) south from Gatlinburg and turn west on Little River Road (TN73) at the Sugarlands Visitors Center. Go 10 miles and turn right at picnic area sign. Picnic pavilion is on west side of picnic area.
