Jackson's Island TVA Recreation Area in TN

Jackson's Island is a popular dispersed camping destination situated along the shores of Watts Bar Lake, managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). The peninsula features numerous spacious lakeside sites, many with concrete pads, basic fire pits, and portable toilets provided during the peak recreation season. The gravel access road is generally flat and highly accessible for large rigs and travel trailers. Note that the campground is subject to seasonal winter closures, typically locking the access gates from early November through late March. During peak summer weekends, the area experiences high occupancy and recreational boat traffic.
