Set beneath a canopy of white oaks, hickories, and yellow poplars, this covered picnic shelter sits directly across the road from the Hiwassee State Scenic River. Named for a mountain hillside spring above the site, the pavilion accommodates up to 50 people with large and small charcoal grills, graveled parking, and a waterless vault toilet. Potable water is not provided. Visitors use the site for group gatherings, accessing nearby river outfitters for kayaking and rafting, or hiking the local Lowery Falls and Oswald Dome trails.
