Setting
Located two miles off the Cherohala Skyway in the Cherokee National Forest, this family campground sits at 1,560 feet surrounding 96-acre Indian Boundary Lake. The layout features 87 campsites equipped with electric hookups, picnic tables, grills, lantern posts, and access to drinking water and modern restrooms. On-site facilities include an operational camp store, a swim beach, boat ramp, fishing pier, and volleyball court. A 3.2-mile paved trail circles the lake for walking and biking, while anglers fish for bass, sunfish, and catfish.
Getting there: From I-75 at Sweetwater, Tennessee, take State Route 68 to Tellico Plains. From Highway 68 in Tellico Plains, take Highway 165 (Cherohala Skyway) east for 16 miles. Turn left onto Forest Development Road 345 and travel 2 miles to the entrance.
