Setting
Located along Beaverdam Creek at 2,100 feet elevation in the Southern Appalachian Mountains, this facility features 10 single and double campsites equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern holders, plus shared flush toilets. A CCC-built reservable pavilion with a large lawn sits adjacent to camp. Visitors come to fish for stocked trout in the creek or hike to nearby Backbone Rock, a historic railroad tunnel. Trail access connects to Backbone Falls and the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
Getting there: Highway TN 133 north from Highway 91. The campsite is on Highway 133, just north of Backbone Rock.
