Setting
Cosby Group Camp sits tucked in the mountains at 2,460 feet elevation alongside Cosby Creek in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The facility features three shaded tent-only sites accommodating up to 20 people each, complete with tent pads, picnic tables, fire rings, grills, flush toilets, and drinking water. One site is accessible. Hikers can reach the Appalachian Trail three miles away via the connected Lower Gap Trail. The surrounding forest provides stream fishing for trout, while additional individual campsites are available at the adjacent Cosby Campground.
Getting there: From Cosby, TN, proceed south on TN 32 about 1.5 miles from junction with US 321. Turn right at Cosby sign. Group camp is another 2.2 miles.
