Setting
Cosby Campground sits at an elevation of 2,460 feet in a heavily shaded mountain section of Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Focused primarily on tent camping, the sites offer 16x16-foot tent pads, picnic tables, grills, and fire rings. Select sites accommodate RVs, and a dump station, flush toilets, and drinking water are located on site. The Appalachian Trail is three miles away via the Lower Gap Trail. Cosby, Tennessee is five miles away, and Gatlinburg sits 20 miles to the west.
Getting there: From Cosby, TN, proceed south on TN 32 about 1.5 miles south of the junction with US 321. Turn right at Cosby sign. Campground is another 2 miles.
