Tucked into the Southern Appalachian Mountains along Laurel Fork Creek at 2,650 feet elevation, this 15-site campground offers a rustic forest setting. Sites include picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern holders, with shared flush toilets available on site. The creek provides stocked and wild trout fishing opportunities right from camp. Nearby options include the 8-mile Laurel Fork Trail, the Coon Den Falls Trail, and access to the Appalachian National Scenic Trail one mile down the road.
Getting there: Take US 321/TN 67 East out of Hampton, TN. Turn right onto Dennis Cove Road and drive approximately 5 miles. Dennis Cove Road is steep with hairpin turns, so plan to drive slowly.
