Pactola Campground sits on the south shore of Pactola Reservoir in the Black Hills National Forest, 15 miles west of Rapid City, South Dakota. Three loops offer over 100 campsites set in a pine forest with rocky overlooks of the lake. Vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire grills; potable water available mid-May through late September. Peak season rates $36/night; reservations via Recreation.gov for mid-May through late September. Two boat ramps and a swim beach provide lake recreation.
