Longleaf Campground in SC -- Campground & RV Camping in South Carolina

Longleaf Campground sits in a mixed pine and hardwood upland forest within Congaree National Park, situated on higher ground above the floodplain. This tent-only facility requires parking in a central lot and walking a short distance to the shaded sites, which feature picnic tables and fire rings. Facilities include vault toilets, trash receptacles, and a central open field for observing birds and wildlife. Potable water filling stations are half a mile away at the Harry Hampton Visitor Center, which provides access to the park's 27-mile trail network, boardwalk, and two canoe launches.

Getting there: This campground is located just off the park entrance road, approximately ½ mile before the Harry Hampton Visitor Center.
