Twin Lakes Recreation Area spans 152 acres of pine and hardwood forest along the shores of Hartwell Lake. The facility offers 102 public campsites, five comfort stations with showers, two dump stations, five playgrounds, and a swim beach. A separate day-use area includes 27 picnic sites, two shelters with water and power, a two-lane boat ramp, a courtesy dock, and two swim beaches. Visitors come for boating, water sports, hiking, and biking. Clemson, South Carolina, is five miles away.

Getting there: Take Interstate 85 to exit 14 and merge onto Highway 187. After passing Clemson Research Center, turn left onto Fants Grove Road and follow directional signs to the park. 140 Winnebego Trail, Pendleton, SC 29670
