Hawe Creek Campground sits in a mixed pine and hardwood forest on the shores of J. Strom Thurmond Lake in South Carolina. This 34-site campground features two bathhouses with flush toilets and hot showers, a dump station, and drinking water. A public boat ramp and courtesy dock with a pit toilet are located on-site, offering water access for powerboating, kayaking, swimming, and fishing for bass and catfish. The park sits just one mile from the Dorn Sportfishing Facility and five miles from golf courses at Hickory Knob State Park.
Getting there: 1505 Chamberlains Ferry Rd, Mc Cormick, SC 29835 From the junction of HWY 221 and HWY 378 in McCormick, SC, travel southwest on US 378, then south 4 miles on Chamberlains Ferry Road. Road ends at campground.
