Setting
Crescent Group Campground is a 41-acre site set on a gently sloping peninsula with pine and mixed hardwood cover on Hartwell Lake. Built exclusively for group camping, the park consists of two separate loops: Loop A offers 10 campsites and Loop B offers 22 campsites, all with full water and electric hookups. Facilities include a shelter with water and electricity on each loop, two comfort stations (one with hot showers), a dump station, and a playground. There is no boat ramp or dock on site. Clemson University and Clemson, South Carolina, are a short drive away.
Getting there: From Hartwell, Georgia, take Hwy 29 north for approximately 8 miles (you will cross into South Carolina). Turn left onto Ginn Road. Take the first left onto Campers Way and continue straight to the campground. From Anderson SC, take Hwy 29 South from Anderson, heading south towards Hartwell, Georgia, after the intersection with Hwy 187 (4-way stop), continue south on Hwy 29 until you see sign for Crescent.
