Setting
Broyles Recreation Area covers 24 sloping pine-forested acres on the shores of Hartwell Lake, a man-made reservoir along the Georgia and South Carolina border. Dedicated to day use, this site centers on water recreation and is a host location for regional fishing tournaments. On-site facilities include 14 picnic sites, a picnic shelter with water and electric service, a playground, a designated swim beach, a fishing pier, and a single volunteer host campsite. Boaters have access to a courtesy dock and a three-lane boat ramp supported by expanded parking for trailer rig storage.
