Setting
Ives Run Campground sits on the eastern shore of Hammond Lake along Pennsylvania's Allegheny Plateau. The extensive facility includes nearly 200 reservable campsites, hot showers, playgrounds, sports fields, and a dump station. Boaters and anglers use the on-site boat ramp and rental mooring slips, while swimmers access a concrete-bottomed lake area with a grassy beach. Four hiking trails leave directly from the campground, and an target archer course with stands is situated near the visitor center.
Getting there: The campground is located 4 miles south of Tioga and 12 miles north of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, on State Route 287, within the Ives Run Recreation Area.
