Setting
Tionesta Recreation Area Campground is set in the forested valley directly below Tionesta Dam along Tionesta Creek. The site features shower houses, restrooms, and a swimming and picnicking beach located just outside the entrance gate. A boat ramp and marina are situated nearby, providing direct water access to Tionesta Lake for boating, water skiing, and fishing. The surrounding rugged hills lie adjacent to public lands, including the Allegheny National Forest, Cook Forest State Park, and local state game lands, with scenic drives running along Tionesta Creek Road.
Getting there: From Tionesta, PA: Go 0.5 mile south on SR 36 and follow signs into the campground.
